The pandemic of 2020 has brought with it many changes. Two of these changes are working from home (or wherever you are) and remote schooling. Parents are now able to move about more freely because kids can still attend school via remote learning or are being homeschooled. How do you make sure you are marketing to this type of traveler?
Here are some ideas to try.
Make the world the classroom. Inspire those who want to travel while their kids are remote learning and perhaps those who have not even thought of the idea. Share information on places that you work with that would open a whole new world of learning for the kids. For instance, perhaps there are areas that are open and have museums that could be used as a learning tool or historical sites that kids can get a firsthand view of that will bring history to life and make it more interesting and memorable for them. Use your Social Media to get the conversations started. Post on Instagram and Facebook your ideas and ask other parents where they have traveled while kids are remote learning and get their feedback to help other parents still on the fence to take the leap and book a trip.
Use your Blogs also to write articles that people will find relevant and helpful to them. List ideas of where they can travel and still use this vacation to teach the kids and keep their learning and schooling on track. Be sure that the areas you are talking about are open and available to go to. If there are restrictions in place list these so that clients will know what to expect and to be prepared. If they need to make reservations due to social distancing protocol let them know so that they can have a schedule of events and make the most of the day. Set your Travel Agency up as the expert and the go to for people who are looking for any type of travel including travel that involves remote learning.
We are still learning all the ins and outs of the virus and the changes and restrictions can come regularly. Because of this you as a Travel Agency need to make sure that you are pivoting and staying on the minds of travelers. Need some assistance when it comes to Social Media?
