Tips for Marketing for 2021 Travel

With Fall 2020 upon us many people are starting to look to 2021 for travel plans.  With 2020 being such an overwhelming year with the shutdown many are hoping that travel in 2021 will resume some sort of normalcy.  How can you as a travel professional keep yourself out front so people who are looking to travel will book with you?




Here are some ideas to keep in mind.



  • A trend that many companies are picking up on is mixing business with pleasure.  Companies who have conferences or meetings out of town are allowing their employees more time to enjoy the trip by mixing in more leisure time and opportunities for more recreation.  This allows people to possibly include their families on their “business” trip.  As a Travel Professional or a Travel destination, be sure to include this trend on your website as an option. List some different ideas and activities that possibly the office and the family can do together or separately.  


  • With the world still dealing with the Corona Virus the health of travelers is a major concern.  With many places having health checks in place and social distancing a concept we must deal with keeping your clients fears at bay goes a long way.  If you are aware of all the restrictions in the areas that you book with be sure to share this with your clients and potential clients so they can plan accordingly.  Use your Social Media outlets to post updates and changes as you come to know them.  A travel professional who is in the know and stays on top of things is who people will book with.


  • As a Travel Professional also be aware of activities that are still open and available to make it easy for travelers to maintain social distancing.  With the need to stay informed when it comes to travel due to all the changes that happen with regulations travelers are less likely to be somewhere where they are not able to stay in the know.  Keep people informed and list tips and ideas that you are aware of that they can still enjoy while being under certain criteria.  The more you set yourself up as the expert in the travel world the more people will feel comfortable booking with you.
