Don’t ignore the pandemic. Now more than ever is the time for you as a Travel Professional to know all the ins and outs of the restrictions in your area. You need to set yourself up as an expert when it comes to travel restrictions. Do you know what is happening in different areas as far as quarantine or the availability of activities or restaurants that you are booking for travelers? Use your blog articles on your website to list current restrictions or non-restrictions to the most popular places that people can travel to. Write relevant content that will educate people while keeping them motivated to travel. People want to feel secure in the company that they are using and know that they can have all their concerns and questions addressed.
Keep your company in the know when it comes to change or cancellation fees for airlines and/or hotels that you may be working with. Are there airlines or destinations that have waived these fees so that travelers can feel comfortable knowing they will not lose their deposit or money if they need to make necessary changes due to the pandemic? Post these things on your Social Media. Use Instagram and Facebook to make travelers aware of these changes to many airline and destination policies. People appreciate being aware that they can make plans but at the same time protect their hard-earned money. The more you post to your social media the more people will see that you are doing your best to keep them in the loop when it comes to travel.
