2 Tips to Keep Travelers Informed During the Pandemic

Travel is a way to recoup and take a little time for yourself and family to come together and enjoy some refreshing activities or to sit by the pool and read your favorite novel. However, this year of pandemic and change has brought about a new way of doing things. How do you as a Travel Professional make sure that you are still reaching those who still want and need a break?

Here are some tips to keep in mind when it comes to your marketing.

  • Don’t ignore the pandemic. Now more than ever is the time for you as a Travel Professional to know all the ins and outs of the restrictions in your area. You need to set yourself up as an expert when it comes to travel restrictions. Do you know what is happening in different areas as far as quarantine or the availability of activities or restaurants that you are booking for travelers? This is the time to post in a positive way your knowledge about these topics. People need the extra confidence to show that you have their backs when it comes to booking travel for them. Use your blog articles on your website to list current restrictions or non-restrictions to the most popular places that people can travel to. Write relevant content that will educate people while keeping them motivated to travel. People want to feel secure in the company that they are using and know that they can have all their concerns and questions addressed.

  • Keep your company in the know when it comes to change or cancellation fees for airlines and/or hotels that you may be working with. Are there airlines or destinations that have waived these fees so that travelers can feel comfortable knowing they will not lose their deposit or money if they need to make necessary changes due to the pandemic? Post these things on your Social Media. Use Instagram and Facebook to make travelers aware of these changes to many airline and destination policies. People appreciate being aware that they can make plans but at the same time protect their hard-earned money. The more you post to your social media the more people will see that you are doing your best to keep them in the loop when it comes to travel. The more trust you build with people the more your business will benefit.

Travel is a great avenue of destressing and who doesn’t need a break from this year? Make sure that your company is at the top of traveler's minds. Need some help with this endeavor? Check out our Social Media Packages here.
