In March, USA Today cited The Transportation Department report that 506,994 animals were transported on domestic airlines in 2017 alone. I knew it was a trend here to stay when I started seeing animal relief stations inside of major US airports alongside the people relief stations. 
 
When you see your fellow passengers carrying or leading their beloved pet through the terminals en route to a flight it can’t help but make you a little nostalgic for your own furry friend. Maybe I should bring my dog next trip, right?
